CAT Launches Partial Hospitalization Program, Introducing a New Level of Outpatient Care for the Community

Tuesday August 27, 2024

CINCINNATI, August 27, 2024 – Center for Addiction Treatment (CAT) has officially launched the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), effectively meeting the community’s call for a new, clinically intensive level of Outpatient addiction treatment with immediate enrollment opportunities. Designed to meet the needs of those in or entering early recovery, PHP immerses clients in evidence-based individual & group care sessions five days a week. The launch of PHP marks the official expansion of CAT’s level of care provisions in accordance with the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s (ASAM) Continuum of Care, a nationally recognized, multidimensional assessment standard for measuring client care needs.

“Not only is the Partial Hospitalization Program CAT’s 12th official service offering, but it also stands as our 10th Outpatient program to be launched in under four years,” shares Patti L. Webb, President and CEO of the organization. “Ensuring patients have access to a range of customizable care opportunities that fit their unique needs is a core element of our promise to make Recovery Within Reach for all who seek it. We’re proud to introduce PHP as our latest testament to this promise.”

The curriculum utilized in PHP leverages evidence-based cognitive behavioral interventions and grounding exercises to uplift positive patient outcomes. Programming immerses patients in a wide range of proven addiction treatment and co-occurring disorder management techniques, such as healthy lifestyle enrichment tactics, crisis prevention planning, emotional guidance, and relationship navigation. Beyond regular support sessions, patients also benefit from access to qualified clinical personnel and essential recovery resources, including counselors, certified peer supporters, case management, and eligibility-based psychiatric and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) opportunities.

While the length of time that each client participates in PHP is customizable based on their individualized recovery needs, the average service engagement period is four weeks.

To streamline accessibility, PHP is offering immediate enrollment opportunities for both new and existing clients upon a qualifying assessment.
