CAT Breaks Down Patient Barriers With Rebranded After-Care Program

Friday January 26, 2024

CINCINNATI, January 26, 2024 – Center for Addiction Treatment (CAT) announces the launch of Relapse Prevention, a highly accessible, rebranding of the organization’s after-care recovery programming formerly known as “Continuing Care.” The service’s new name reflects not only its broad encompassment of support, but coincides with a pivotal increase in accessibility as prior, pre-cursor service enrollment restrictions have been eliminated.

Now, any individuals who have or have not engaged in any organization’s Residential or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) are eligible for the after-care programming. Participants who’ve not completed Residential or IOP treatment will simply be required to duly enroll in individual counseling, ensuring their care needs are fully met.

“Through opening the doors, we hope to meet our community’s need for clinical support during ongoing recovery,” shares VP of Clinical Services, Rachel Johnson, MS, LPCC-S. “Our motivation to not only change the name of the group, but also the admission criteria, was to expand accessibility to ongoing recovery support in response to the community need for clinical support beyond restrictive levels of care.”

Relapse Prevention, designed to support patients’ immersion into daily life as they navigate the early stages of recovery, provides clients with follow-up care that explores various recovery topics and coping mechanisms. The curriculum is utilized in a group structure, granting patients the benefits of peer-to-peer engagement during their journey.

Enrollment in the weekly, 90-minute sessions is actively available for both new and existing clients. Individuals seeking access to Relapse Prevention or more information for themselves or a loved one may simply submit a confidential contact request here.
