CAT Counselor Awarded Ohio Problem Gambling Treatment Fellowship, Marking Second Consecutive Year of CAT’s Participation

Monday November 6, 2023

CINCINNATI, NOVEMBER 6, 2023 – Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO) selects Center for Addiction Treatment’s Amanda Constantino, MSW, LSW, LCDCIII, for the 2024 Ohio Problem Gambling Treatment Fellowship, marking two consecutive years of CAT’s representation in the prestigious program.

Constantino, CAT’s Outpatient Counseling Team Lead, was selected from applicants state-wide for participation in the educational and supervisory program provided by PGNO, an affiliate of the National Council on Problem Gambling. Through both her 15 years of experience providing addiction treatment services and establishment as a member of the multi-county workforce Problem Gambling Coalition of Southwest Ohio, Constantino is prepared to fully immerse herself in the professional development the fellowship will provide. Her engagement in comprehensive clinical training and practical application during the intensive, year-long program will further enhance the organization’s continually evolving Problem Gambling Disorder care specialization.

“The detrimental impacts of problem gambling, often intertwined with mental health struggles and substance use, continue to be a daily challenge for many. Every step we take to expand our understanding of how each piece of the puzzle interacts allows us to better serve our patients,” shares Constantino.

“It is a great honor that CAT is entrusted with learning and developing applicable skills in gambling disorder treatment and that we are able to learn from experts at PGNO for a second year,” says Vice President of Clinical Services and last year’s fellowship recipient Rachel Johnson, MS, LPCC-S. “With rising trends of problem gambling behavior in the Tri-State, as well as continued problem gambling across Ohio, it is more important now than ever to have clinicians with skill and expertise in treating gambling disorder.”

CAT intends to utilize their second year in a row of involvement with the Ohio Problem Gambling Treatment Fellowship to amplify and strengthen their existing Gambling Program. The organization’s combination virtual and in-person problem gambling disorder treatment service provides clients with tailored care through a multi-phase, customized model.
