Cincinnati Enquirer – Less heroin, more meth in younger adults
Tuesday September 25, 2018
Far fewer people older than 25 started using heroin last year, but the decline among young adults was almost imperceptible, and the 18- to 25-year-old age group also saw a big jump in meth, a new federal report shows.
The new report shows the number of new heroin users in 2016 was more than 170,000, more than double the 81,000 new users in 2017.
