Monday May 24, 2021
What is Haircuts Over Heroin? A dinner-table discussion that has grown into an area-wide initiative to raise money for addiction treatment. The brain child of two teens — Memrie Harness and Korbin Gray — trying to do something positive to honor a lost loved one. A new kind of fundraiser in which nearly fifty different individuals and businesses, small and large, have donated services valued at more than $6,000 to be raffled online — with all monies raised to benefit Center for Addiction Treatment (CAT).
Haircuts Over Heroin is a grassroots, region-wide fundraiser. Stylists and specialists from all over town have donated a wide variety of salon and spa services, as detailed on their Facebook page where e-tickets for chances to win these services are available. The $20 per chance donations are also accessible directly through CAT’s website.
