The collected information of visitors who submit a contact form via our website is received by staff and delegated to the proper internal channels to assist in the fulfillment of the contact request. Potential information voluntarily collected includes: name, phone number, email address, reason for inquiry, and any additional information/comments the visitor may choose to include. The collected information may be used to contact individuals digitally and/or via phone call.

Visitors who join our mailing list are only added by consent. Information collected via our mailing list may include: name, phone number, email address, address, location, and birthday. The collected information may be used to contact individuals digitally, via phone call, and/or via paper mail. Reasons for contact made by CAT to the consented subscriber may include but are not limited to newsletters, appeals/donation requests, and organizational updates.

Donor information is received and stored by third party software used by our Development team to fulfill donation requests, track giving history, and to produce accurate reporting. Collected donor information may include the name of the individual(s) or organization(s) giving, address, phone number, and email address. Donors who give via credit or debit card provide desired payment amount, credit/debit card number, the name that appears on the card, the card’s expiration date, and CVV information The third-party software has the responsibility for PCI compliance. Financial information is not shared outside of the software database. Donors lists of significant amounts are shared only for financial audit and recognition purposes and may appear on the official IRS 990 filing and Annual Report.

General information access and choice

Information submitted via our contact form will not be dispersed externally or beyond the consented internal dispersion to the proper organizational contact(s) designated by the submitted contact request without confirmed consent. This information may used by the organization to contact the individual to fulfill the contact request.

Information collected via subscription to our mailing list may be used to contact the consenting individual through their shared contact information. This potentially includes via email, phone, or physical mailing. Information collected may also be used internally for marketing and development purposes. 

Contact with CAT regarding questions of information use, revocation of information use, and/or corrections to submitted/current information may be made through our contact form or via direct email to the following address: info@ccatsober.org. Mailing list subscribers may also self-unsubscribe from receiving future contact from the organization or update their preferences by clicking the “unsubscribe from this list” or “update your preferences” links at the bottom of a prior received digital mailing.

General information security

Personal information submitted via our contact form is received to a protected, internal-use-only email address and is only permitted for internal dispersion to the proper organizational contact(s) designated by the contact request. 

Personal information collected via our mailing list is stored via a protected program and/or on protected internal organization devices. 

Personal information collected via donation is stored in our third party donor software and on protected internal organization devices.

Personal information collected via our contact form and mailing list is not permitted for external use and/or beyond stated designations unless otherwise consented. 

Personal information not of a sensitive nature collected via donation may be shared externally in our annual report.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
